Where in the World is Melita Chunn?
Life with a newborn is exhausting. I now realize why sleeping babies are so precious. That's when the parents get the opportunity to steal a few moments to themselves. I have learned that laundry is a continuous process now as I do a load almost everyday as opposed to getting it all done in one day. Having a baby and being Type A don't really go hand in hand. I am just thankful that we have such a good natured daughter who wakes up laughing every single morning.
So, really what has been happening around our house has been rather mundane. I was trying to put Melita on a schedule when really I just needed to establish a routine with her. These two things are very different concepts I have learned. The routine we have fallen into is perfect and still allows Reagan and I to be social and enjoy our daughter. I was pleased when Melita slept through the 1am bottle all on her own. Thursday and Friday nights she slept 10pm - 4am! I was beyond ecstatic about this and then last night she went and slept 10pm - 6:45am!!! We did graduate her from having a bedside lamp on all night to just a nightlight which could have made the difference. That being said, I don't know what to do with all of the sleep I am getting.

Over Achiever
Melita had her 2 month wellness check-up on Tuesday:
Weight: 11 lbs. 6 oz.
Length: 23 in.
Head: 16 1/4 in.
She is in the 75% for weight and length and the 80% for her head! All I can say is she is one plump tator tot with a big head to house her big brain. But really, she is doing awesome developmentally and all around everyone is pleased. Especially since we had such a rough start. She also got 4 shots - two in each thigh - and one oral vaccination. She only cried during the shots and then calmed down. She is such a big girl.
