What's Going On?

Hi Internet. Right now, Melita is suffering from a flare-up of eczema on her back and ear infection #4 and Reagan and I are still sniffling and sneezing our way through mountain cedar. Despite the medical difficulties, we are having a blast. Melita is blossoming into a chatty Kathy. It is so cute to listen to her try to emulate adult conversation. The good part about it is she really understands what you are saying to her which is also the bad part. Since she started another round of amoxicillin for her ears, she has had cookies for breakfast and dinner because bribing her with them is the only way I can get her to swallow the medicine rather than spit it out. She also loves to dance and color. She likes to watch Word World, Super Why, and Sesame Street (Melmo). She's a PBS nerd which makes me proud in a weird way. She also likes Sponge Bob, but he is a guilty pleasure. The other day when I picked her up from school, I was told that not only was she the only kid that ate her green beans, she actually asked for seconds. And tonight, she actually ate all of her broccoli and only picked at her fishsticks and fries. I have no idea why this is. I'm just embracing the love for all things green and moving forward. Her imagination is growing exponentially and dressing up in play clothes is one of her favorite things. She likes to walk around naming what each object she sees is and most often she is right. A genius always breeds a genius, right?

Unicorns ARE Real

And they live in New Braunfels.

Nap Time at the Chunns

The following is proof of Melita's silly and stealth efforts to delay nap time as long as possible. It took every bit of strength I had not to bust out laughing while I videoed. The apple never falls too far from the tree. Enjoy.
