OUCH! I'm old!

Memorial Day weekend was exciting for us. A local 80's cover band played on Sunday night and Reagan and I decided it would be fun to go. So, a group of friends sprung for a party bus and
away we went!

It's the morning after and I am so sore from dancing and jumping around. Forget the hangover!

APRIL 2011

Happy Easter! Easter egg hunting requires a pretty dress, crown and backpack, naturally!


And because we live in Texas, we got to get the pool out for the first time in April and have some fun.We also decided to give Melita an early birthday present:


A big girl bed! She was so excited!

Sorry for the brief hiatus, but as you can see the last 5 month have been busy! So far, May is the same way, but I promise to try and stay on top of updates. Melita continues to be an amazing kid and we are thankful everyday for all of the love and laughter.

MARCH 2011

Melita got a trampoline for Christmas. Reagan had lots of fun antagonizing her while she was jumping on it after school.



Also, the home improvement spirit continues and we painted the kitchen green!

FEBRUARY 2011

Happy Valentine's Day and I turned 37. What do old people do for their birthdays, you ask? Besides get terrible colds that keep you bed-ridden for days,

we like to put paper bag masks over our heads.

JANUARY 2011

We re-did our floors. Well, actually we pulled up disgusting carpet, crossed our fingers, said a prayer, and found fanf*ck!ngtastic hardwood underneath. After a quick sanding and a coat or three of clear veneer, this is what the result was:



This is a project we did ourselves with a little help from Reagan's dad. We only spent twice as much as we budgeted and it took 3 times as long as Reagan predicted. Not bad for amateurs. And, I only had 2 nervous breakdowns during the process. However, I will say that the end result was well worth it!
